Crypto first, every market after

Built for crypto. Works on forex, gold and more.

Crypto and blockchain are our main focus. But a candle is a candle on every chart, so once you can read price and manage risk, you can use it on whichever market you choose.

BTC · ETHOur main focus

Crypto

Coins and tokens running on blockchains, trading 24/7, every day of the year. Bigger daily swings than most markets. Moves on news, sentiment and the wider market mood.

EUR/USD · GBP/USD

Forex

Trading one currency against another. The biggest market in the world, open 24 hours on weekdays. Moves on interest rates and economic news.

XAU/USD

Gold

Priced in US dollars per ounce. Often moves when people get nervous about the economy. Moves on the dollar, interest rates and big news events.

FTSE 100 · S&P 500

Indices

One price for a whole basket of companies, like the 100 biggest on the London Stock Exchange. Moves on company earnings and the wider economy.

Single shares

Stocks

A small piece of one company. You can buy shares outright with no borrowing. Moves on results, news about the company and the market around it.

What stays the same

Trends, support and resistance, candle patterns, stop losses, the 1% rule and your trading journal. Everything in the free course works on all five, and our examples lean on crypto.

What changes in the UK

Forex, gold and indices are mostly traded with spread bets or CFDs, which use leverage. FCA rules cap it for retail customers (30:1 on major currency pairs, 20:1 on gold and major indices), and providers must tell you what percentage of their customers lose money. Crypto is usually bought outright on an exchange, because crypto derivatives are banned for UK retail customers.

Practice trade simulator

Practise trades with pretend money

The chart stops halfway. Pick buy or sell, drag your stop and target into place, then press play and watch what happens next. You start with £1,000 of pretend money and risk 1% on every trade.

Drag the lines on the chart, or type the prices.

Pretend money on made-up charts, so you can practise the routine without risking anything. If a candle touches both your stop and your target, it counts as a stop.

If the stop is hit, you lose about £10, which is 1% of your account.

Position size = (balance × risk %) ÷ distance from entry to stop. It ignores fees, spread and slippage, so real losses can be a little bigger.

Risk to reward and break-even calculator

See what you stand to lose against what you aim to make, and how often you'd need to be right just to break even.

Break-even win rate = risk ÷ (risk + reward), before fees. It shows the maths only. It can't tell you whether a trade will work.

How to spot a trading scam

Beginners are the main target for trading and crypto scams. If you see any of these, walk away.

Red flag 1

Guaranteed returns

"2% a day" or "you can't lose". Nobody can promise returns in real markets.

Red flag 2

"I'll trade for you"

An account manager or mentor who wants to control your money or your login.

Red flag 3

Strangers in your DMs

Someone you don't know messages first with an opportunity, often after you comment on a post.

Red flag 4

Pressure to act now

"Only 3 spots left" or "price goes up tonight". Real education doesn't need you to rush.

Red flag 5

Pay to withdraw

A "tax" or "unlock fee" before you can take your money out. That money is almost always gone.

Red flag 6

Fake proof

Celebrity endorsements, rented cars and profit screenshots. All of them are easy to fake.

Our promise

Trade Blocks will never message you first offering to trade for you, and will never ask you to send money or crypto in a DM. If someone claiming to be us does, it isn't us. Report it and block them. Before using any investment firm, check the FCA Warning List.

Questions

Before you start

Is this financial advice?

No. Trade Blocks teaches how charts and risk work. We never tell you what to buy or sell, or when. Your decisions are your own.

Do I need money to start learning?

No. You can do the whole course and practise on a demo or paper trading account without putting in a penny.

Is this only for crypto?

Crypto and blockchain are our main focus, but no. The course teaches chart reading and risk, which work the same on forex, gold, indices and stocks. Our examples use simple £ prices so you can apply them anywhere.

Is it really free?

Yes. The course, tools, cheat sheet, journal and Discord are free. VIP will be an optional paid extra for people who want feedback on their own trading.

Which timeframe?

Works on: CryptoForexGoldIndicesStocks

Slide 1 of 6: Which timeframe?

What a timeframe is

Each candle is one block of time. On the 1-hour chart, every candle is an hour. On the daily chart, every candle is a whole day. Same market, very different picture.

Short timeframes

The 1-minute to 15-minute charts give you lots of setups, but also lots of noise and false moves. You need to make decisions fast, and you pay more in fees because you trade more.

Longer timeframes

The 4-hour, daily and weekly charts show clearer trends and give fewer, calmer signals. You need more patience and usually a wider stop.

The beginner move

Start big, then zoom in. Find the trend on the daily chart, then use the 4-hour or 1-hour chart to plan where you would get in.

If the timeframes disagree, the bigger one usually wins.

Key takeaway

Find the trend on the daily chart, then zoom in to plan your entry.

3 QUESTIONS
1. On a 4-hour chart, how much time does each candle show?
2. The daily chart is in a clear uptrend. The 15-minute chart shows a small dip. Which matters more for the overall direction?
3. What is the main downside of very short timeframes for beginners?

Educational content only. Not financial advice.
